Our founders: A vision for recovery
Michael and Renee’ Brown are Utah-based recovery-care entrepreneurs and the founders of Sober Living Properties and Next Level Recovery. Their work grew from a shared belief that people recovering from addiction need more than clinical treatment—they also need stable housing, structure, employment and educational opportunities, community connection, and continuing support.
The Browns developed Sober Living Properties as a structured transitional-housing program for people rebuilding their lives after addiction. Their current Medical Mindshare biography states that the program began with Utah’s first licensed recovery house in 2004 and has grown to approximately 105 residents across seven housing locations. A conference biography describes it as Utah’s largest independently owned recovery-housing organization. Medical Mindshare founders’ biography, conference biography
Together, Michael and Renee’ also developed Next Level Recovery, an outpatient mental-health and substance-use treatment center designed to help clients receive treatment while continuing to pursue employment, education, independent living, and long-term recovery. Their programs participated in Utah’s Operation Rio Grande initiative, providing recovery housing and related support to people affected by chronic addiction and homelessness. Our non-profit: Giving back to the community

This organization focuses on providing medical care that is integrative and trauma informed, providing essential support, education, and resources to underserved populations. Our non-profit work reinforces our belief that everyone deserves access to quality care and a chance at a healthier future, regardless of their circumstances.
